web design and IT support in Cranleigh
Twenty minutes through Bramley, for a village that runs on its own high street.
About twenty minutes through Bramley and Wonersh.
Cranleigh calls itself the largest village in England and behaves like a small town with the sense to stay a village. The businesses here are mostly trades, shops, nurseries and professional services working for people who live within a few miles, which changes what a website is for: nobody is browsing for a roofer in Cranleigh from two counties away.
What matters is that the site loads quickly on a phone, says plainly what you do and where, and gives somebody a way to start a conversation without filling in a form built for a call centre. After that, being found for the searches people here actually type, which are short, local and specific.
The other half is the quieter work: hosting that does not fall over, email that arrives rather than landing in spam, and somebody to ring when a machine stops. I have no client I can name in Cranleigh yet, which I would rather say than imply otherwise.
what Cranleigh businesses ask for
WordPress Design
Most WordPress sites are a bought theme with somebody else's logo swapped out. Yours gets designed around what you actually need to say, and built so that changing it afterwards does not mean ringing me.
more about thisWeb & Email Hosting
UK hosting for websites and mailboxes, with a person on the end of it. When email stops on a Friday afternoon you are speaking to whoever set it up, not filing a ticket and waiting.
more about thisDomain Names
Domains in one place, renewed before they lapse rather than after. SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up properly, which is the difference between your email arriving and your email landing in spam.
more about thisSearch Engine Optimisation
No promises about ranking first, because nobody can honestly make them. Fixing what is technically wrong, building pages around the words people type into Google, and reporting in enquiries rather than positions.
more about thisquestions people ask
What does a small business website cost?
A fixed price against a fixed scope, quoted once the brief is clear, and the assumptions written down with it. The fact find on this site asks the questions I would ask on the phone and takes about five minutes.
Can you sort our email as well?
Yes. Mailboxes, or a move to Microsoft 365, and the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records set up properly, which is the difference between your email arriving and your email landing in spam.
Do we need to be on social media?
Not necessarily. For a trade working within a few miles, a fast site, a complete Google Business Profile and asking happy customers for reviews usually does more than posting three times a week.

start with the problem
Tell me what you are trying to fix and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it. No obligation, and no sales call.
The fact find takes about five minutes and means I can quote properly.
