That is the size where a bespoke application earns its keep, because the thing everybody is working around is usually one spreadsheet that three people maintain and nobody trusts.
The work here tends to be internal rather than public: a quoting system, a booking system, a dispatch process, something that talks to Microsoft 365 and stops the same information being typed twice. Built in plain PHP and MySQL on ordinary hosting, with nothing exotic to keep alive, so it is still running in five years and somebody else could pick it up if they had to.

How do we know a bespoke system is worth it?
Count the hours going into the workaround. When somebody is retyping the same information twice a week, the arithmetic usually makes itself, and if it does not I will say so.
Will we be locked in to you?
No, and that is a design decision rather than a promise. Standard technology, documented, no framework I happen to like this year, and the code is yours on full payment. You should be able to hire somebody else to work on it.
Can it talk to Microsoft 365?
Yes. Sign-in against Entra ID, staff lists from your own directory, Outlook calendars, SharePoint. That is most of what makes an internal tool feel like part of the company rather than another login.
